Meet Linsey
Hi, I'm Linsey, your Member of Parliament for Amber Valley.
I love Amber Valley, it's my home and where I've chosen to bring up my family. Serving this wonderful constituency in parliament is the privilege of my life.
My focus will always be on the things that matter to our people: access to NHS dentists, public transport and proper SEND provision.
My Dad was a miner, and when the pits closed things were tough. We were lucky that a Labour government gave him the support he needed to retrain as a bricklayer. I'm now committed to working with businesses to bring growth, well-paid jobs, more apprenticeships and opportunity for all to Amber Valley.
Before becoming a Member of Parliament, I was an International Liaison Prosecutor for the CPS for over 20 years. In this role I fought for the victims of trafficking and organised crime. I know how important delivering justice is in helping victims find closure. That's why I was grateful to my fellow MPs for electing me to the Justice Select Committee, where we are working to improve access to justice.
I have also been given the role of Mission Champion for Safer Streets, working with communities and law enforcement to tackle the scourge of anti-social behaviour and ensure that everyone feels safe to enjoy our towns and villages.
Most importantly, I want to be accessible to everyone in the constituency. I hold regular surgeries and coffee mornings and am out knocking on doors speaking to people as often as I can be. But you don't have to wait for me to come to you, just fill in the form below.
